Raw Entrepreneurship: Betting on Myself

Updated: May 5

Anne Sweeney, former president of the Disney Channel, once said, "Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules, and build a life you're proud to live."

Those words hit home as I reflect on the past 10 months—a whirlwind of change, growth, and uncertainty. When my time at my last company concluded, I was at a crossroads with no obvious path forward. But one thing was crystal clear: I knew I had to bet on myself.

With the encouragement of some wise mentors (and maybe a little caffeine-fueled courage), I drew from the grit and resilience that had always carried me through tough times and stepped out on my own.

Since launching Heart And Revenue, my life has been full of...

🌀 Highs and lows that make entrepreneurship feel like a rollercoaster.

⚡ Exhilarating risks that pushed me outside my comfort zone.

💭 Worries about balancing dreams with my family's needs.

But what's come of those challenges? They've sparked something profound in me:

🌟 A laser-like focus on time management and intentionality.

💡 Next-level resourcefulness and strategic thinking.

💪 Unshakable confidence in my ability to define my rules and thrive.

I'm channeling my energy to launch an exciting new chapter: FemFoundry, a community-centric passion project focused on empowering female entrepreneurs. I plan to launch in late spring.

Over coffee, Jordan Arogeti encouraged me to publicly share this building process—the wins, the struggles, and everything in between. At first, the thought terrified me (hello, vulnerability!), but then I realized that's what this journey is all about.

So here I am, inviting you to follow along in my Raw Entrepreneurship journey.

💬 Will I stumble? Probably.

🙃 Will I feel foolish? Maybe.

✨ Will I give it my all? You bet.
