Raw Entrepreneurship #1: How Fast or Slow?

Hey everyone—it's time for a candid update on my entrepreneurial journey! Lately, client work and teaching have been a wild ride. My kids and husband practically shout, "When's mom coming home?" (Yikes!) I love what I do, but I love my family even more. After a few intense months of hustling, I promised them a little pause to hit the reset button and be more "present." But today, seeing Feb. 25 on the calendar, I can't help but marvel at how fast time is flying. 

As I plan to take that pause later this week, I'm thinking about my other big and exciting endeavor on the horizon. I set the goal of launching FemFoundry by May, but that deadline is starting to feel like a speeding train. Is a May launch a must? Is that deadline adding extra stress? I don't know.

As a recovering perfectionist (ha!), It's most important to push for progress over perfection. However, FemFoundry is like a baby to me, and I want to launch and grow it with intention, care, and quality because it's not just a business; it's core to my mission to uplift others.

Despite the slower pace, we've reached some exciting milestones: our FemFoundry brand is live (massive shoutout to Lisa Sills for making that happen), and I'm diving into setting up our operations, CRM, LMS, and website. Meanwhile, Lisa L. DeRuiter is busy interviewing some outstanding female entrepreneurs, and Hannah Rawiszer, Ph.D., keeps me on track with operational insights and ensures my wild ideas stay manageable.

At the end of the day, I believe there's no "one right way" to be an entrepreneur. Your pace is uniquely yours, shaped by many factors and sometimes tough choices. While I'd love to launch by May, I'm committed to building something that truly benefits thousands of women—even if it takes a few extra months of progress before FemFoundry's big debut!
