Jordan Arogeti’s SupportNow was born from witnessing collective hardship during Covid—and realizing we needed a better way to help each other through it.
“During Covid, we were all one step removed from friends and family going through major life moments—cancer diagnoses, house fires, car accidents,” Jordan recalls. “We wanted to help, but our options felt limited to two buckets: cash or casseroles.”
That simple insight led to a big idea: create a centralized, compassionate platform that allows people to coordinate a wide range of support—financial, emotional, spiritual, and logistical. With SupportNow, users can organize fundraisers, schedule meal deliveries or volunteer shifts, request prayers, and much more—all in one place. It’s a platform designed not just for giving, but for community building.
A Business with Heart—and Grit
Backed by angel investors committed to keeping the platform free for users. SupportNow enables families to keep more of what’s raised than any other crowdfunding option. But the road to building the business wasn’t without challenges. Jordan and her husband both brought a sales and marketing background to the table—a foundation that proved invaluable.
One unconventional asset - cold calling? “You get way more nos than yeses,” Jordan says. “Cold calling built a second layer of skin. If I believe in something, I keep going despite rejection.”
Jordan also leaned heavily on mentorship—what she calls her three-tiered support system. The first tier: professional contacts offering tactical advice. The second: friends and family who supported her and helped her push through fear. And the third: a virtual network of entrepreneurs whose books, podcasts, and social media posts inspired her in a variety of ways.
The Realities of Entrepreneurship
The myth that a business grows linearly—it’s just that, a myth. “There are highs and a lot of lows. As a result, I’ve learned how to manage my emotions so I enjoy the highs but I don’t let the lows get in the way of coming back the next day with the same passion and desire to be better.”
Today, she’s focused on growth. From digital advertising and influencer partnerships to a TED Talk and collaborations with nonprofits and houses of worship, Jordan is tirelessly spreading the word. “My dream,” she says, “is that SupportNow becomes synonymous with support. That when people all over the world face hardship, it’s the first tool they turn to.”
In an age of disconnection, SupportNow is reimagining what it means to show up for each other—thoughtfully, practically, and with heart.
